What areas does Exilis Ultra treat?
Exilis Ultra™ has two types of module. The fat reduction module heats fat cells to a temperature that permanently destroys them, effective on areas of stubborn, diet-and-exercise-resistant fat, such as the stomach, inner and outer thighs, upper arms and back.
The skin tightening module causes the collagen support tissues in the skin to reconfigure and tighten, thereby stimulating and strengthening the collagen, improving skin laxity, texture and reducing cellulite, giving good results on areas prone to sagging including the jowls, neck, décolletage, thighs and knees.
Is it safe?
Exilis Ultra™ is extremely safe as it delivers precise heating and cooling plus real time monitoring of skin temperature, allowing our skilled practitioners to reach therapeutic temperatures in the shortest amount of time, ensuring your safety and comfort.
Does it hurt?
The treatment is not painful. It feels like a warm, heated massage. Your body temperature is constantly monitored and the settings adjusted to make sure you are always comfortable.
Is there any downtime?
Your skin may look slightly pink for 1-2 hours after the treatment and may vary slightly from patient to patient.
What happens to the ‘destroyed’ fat cells?
Over time, the body metabolises and excretes the ‘destroyed’ fat cells as waste. To help this process, we recommend that you increase your water intake and exercise levels the day before and after each treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
A series of treatments will be required to achieve the desired result. We recommend a course of 4-6 treatments but it will depend on your cosmetic concerns and the goals you wish to achieve.
How long do the results last?
Treatment for sagging skin and wrinkles – results can last for up to 2 years. Treatment for unwanted fat – there are long term results, as long as you maintain your weight with normal diet and exercise.
What are the risks and complications of treatment?
All non-invasive procedures carry a small amount of risk which is why we will only proceed with treatment after a face-to-face consultation with one of our experienced practitioners. A full assessment will be carried out and all the important cautions and contraindications discussed with you.
